From My Inbox: Networking π
Random interesting & useful π© pulled from the myriad of emails which land in my inbox.
Oh, my. The downside of being adept at networking in the workplace could be more hazardous than receiving a clammy limp handshake from a top executive or accidentally stabbing your soft-palate with the sharp-end of a chicken sate on a skewer. New research reveals that network brokers in business (you know, the movers and shakers in the organization who know what is happening when and to whom), suffer burnout and may become abusive.
Yikes!
And, the research should be viewed as cautionary - not as an excuse to avoid networking at work.
