From My Inbox: A Grab Bag Of šŸ’©

Oh, itā€™s a grab bag of šŸ’© this week, so grab a cuppa and enjoy.

My first concert? Tony Orlando & Dawn (ok! I was 9, and it was the 70ā€™s and Iā€™m still pissed that we had sh#tty seats). First concert sans parental supervision, Cheap Trick with the Pat Travers Band as the opening act (I remember this, and what I wore, which was so nerdy, as I dressed for an 8th grade teeny-bop in the school gym not a concert at the local hockey arena). First album purchased, Chic (yes, Nile Rodgers is on my celebrity sighting list, and having been a resident of NYC since 1998, I duly reined in my inner 14 year-old self from screaming ā€˜I LOVE YOU NILEā€ as I passed him on 72nd Street West as he exited the subway). So, yes, peculiar and varied musical tastesā€¦which is a perfect interlude to:

  • Nick Cave: Loss, Yearning, Transcendence (On Being)
  • Legend: The Joni Mitchell Story (BBC)
  • Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, a Journey, a Song (Netflix)

And itā€™s emails like this that remind us that you are the Queen.
