Everything Happens For A Reason
Do you want to scream when 💩 happens and someone says 'everything happens..." 🤬
Everything Happens For A Reason (And Other Lies I’ve Loved) by Kate Bowler (New York, Random House, 2018)
Why you should read it: Because you, like me, really want to hurl a scream (or heavy object) at the person who responds to someone’s disappointment or tragedy with the perky, passive phrase “everything happens for a reason”. F🤬ck 🤯ff. And let’s face it, sh#t does happen for reasons we can’t fully grapple. My suggestion? Rather than stuffing your mouth with the bullsh#t dynamite of a trite phrase pulled from a glittery sympathy card, read Kate’s brilliant book and unlock ways to respond in a helpful way instead.
